Nursing process as basically a problem-solving approach to nursing that involves interaction with the patient, making decisions, and carrying out nursing actions based on an assessment of an individual patient's situation. Most nurse scholars suggest that five distinct phases-assessing, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementing, and evaluating-compose the nursing process. Roper et al describe the use of process with their model of nursing and emphasize that the model is framework of concepts and thus provides guidelines for using the process of nursing. Roper et al suggest that assessment helps to establish previous routines, levels of independence, and problems, both actual and potential, related to each activity of living. This article describes assessment of person with rheumatoid arthritis in line with Model of Living as a nursing theory. In addition; it is aimed to develop the assessment form of person with rheumatoid arthritis.
