If normal birth is contraindicate and vaginal birth is not safe, there is excess maternal and/or fetal morbidity following the birth, abdominal birth cesarean should be applied. The most important indication of cesarean birth are distosia, abnormal presentation, fetal health is under risk and the unsuccessful induction. However, only the indication of cesarean section rate of such increase does not lead. WHO recommends not increasing the cesarean ratios up to 10-15%, but many countries are excessive over than those from recommendations. Turkish Demographic Health Survey results were examined, it can be understood that the antenatal care and making a birth have been transferred mainly from nurses/midwifery to doctors. In our country, the effects of nurses are decreased and doctors are increased that this caused an increase in the ratios of cesarean births in current health system. It is not ethical to give a birth by cesarean except medical compulsories. It should only be made under medical compulsories and it is not an alternative to vaginal birth. The cesarean birth has increasing medical risks and economical problems. The ratios of cesarean birth should be decreased and normal birth should be increased so that feto-maternal mortality and morbidity will be decreased and the nation economy will have very positive contribution.
