Nursing and care are two concepts which have close relation with one another. Providing the individual needs of patients by nurse that uses theoretical and practical knowledge constitutes the basis of care in nursing practice. As in every stage of patient’s life after surgery, identifiying of Individual/Patient’s needs and ensuring appropriate care in intraoperative period is an important part of nursing process. In the intraoperative period, the nurse is responsible for patient’s pain and body temperature management, giving proper position, informing the patient, creation of a safe environment by providing psychological support to the patient. The human is a physiological entity thereupon it is neccesary to meet the basic human needs. Goal of Nursing practice is to help people. In all crucial areas of health services, quality assurance programs are used to eliminate and annihilate failures. In the intraoperative period, identifying patient’s needs, implementing nursing care taking over risk management that regulates patient’s goals and results in the framework of nursing process can be a way to achieve the quality of care and patient satisfaction in conclusion. This study has been compiled as a advisor for operating room nurses in order to reach the quality of care and patient sat൴sfact൴on.
