BOM is one of the natural family planning methods hich used wide spread in the world since 1970. BOM can be used either preventing or achieving pregnancy and research has showed that it is as efficient as medical method. Couples often prefer natural and traditional methods in our country. We can prevent unexpected pregnancy and meet the needs of this group by teaching this method. A general information and efficacy situation about the method is given in this report. The responsibility of nurse and midwives and the importance of BOM education in the health care organizations which provide family planning services had been reviewed.
