Nursing Care of the Patients Having Depression With Physical Disorders

Depression is the most common nurses encounter with in the general clinics. Physical disorder might be the reason or a factor leading to the depression. Not detecting depression or not providing the required support cause wasting the sources, loss of the timeenergy, prolonging the period of disorder, decreasing the motivation on the way of recovery, diminishing the quality of life as individuals, families and society. However, nurses can detect depressive symptoms in the early period by using observation, communication techniques and their knowledge in the units they work and they can also provide individuals the assistance they need by teamwork.
