Women's Sexual Adjustment After Hysterectomy

Uterus is a symbol of reproduction capability for women. Although histerectomy is a very common operation, it may create dramatic changes in sexual life as well as affecting women physically and psychologically. Researches about sexual problems after hysterectomy have shown that loss of sexual desire, fear, loss of libido and dysparonia occurs and also orgasm capacity is affected in women after hysterectomy. 

In this article, the role of nurse in assessment of sexual problems in women after hysterectomy, determination of problems and needs and solution suggestions to elimination these problems will be discussed.
