Need for development of organization has been arousen to adopt changes that occured with advances in hospitals. It will be a sensible approach to begin these efforts with nurses who are personnel that work mostly. Development of a personnel handbook that is used for guidance to administrators and personnel is very important for organizations. With this application nurses' job analyses were made and job definitions were made (head nurse, supervisor nurse, charge nurse, clinical nurse, operation-room nurses-scrub and circuler, nursing home nurse), performance appraisal form were identified, hospital rules were determined and "Handbook for Nursing Personnel" was developed. Content of this booklet will be explained to nurses in in-service education programs and this booklet will make it easy to adopt philosophy, policies and operations of hospital and nursing administration, particularly in orientation week.
