We know that we are living in a comprehensive communication and information age that is subjected to rapid and scientific and technological changes. Individual, in titutional, professional and community effor to adapt to these changes is evident; and also educational institutions are being affected by those aforementioned changes from the view point of structure, content, methods and organization. Instead of resisting these changes and denying their impact individuals, members of the profession, and society at large should make an effort to be prepared for the changes. Also 'a mission open to change' approach which is vital for nature!/ stucture of profession makes it necessary. Today, as a member of profession to know these forces and gain benefits from these factors take on important place in constructing the future of nursing education. This article examines the forces that will affect the future of nursing education and are commonly mentioned, and seeks to offer recommendations, based on the realities present in our country, on how nursing education should be in the future.
