Symptom Management in Radiation Therapy

It is clear that radiotherapy not only benefits in treatment but also it has some adverse effects like other treatment methods. General symptoms such as skin reactions, fatique, loss of appetite, bone marrow supprension and local symptoms arround radyotherapy area are seen in patients have undergone radiotherapy. It is known that nursing interventions that contain monitoring radiotherapy ind~­ ced symptoms, providing care for these symptoms, implementing planned treatme11t, mountaining ADL s and educating patients /families are very important in minimizil\g symptoms.
